In the "Metropol_E" project, Wolfsburg AG and the Ostfalia University for Applied Sciences are working on a concept within the Hanover-Braunschweig-Göttingen-Wolfsburg Metropolitan Region, in a targeted campaign to make tourism and leisure facilities "tangible" for electromobility proponents and to prepare for future development.
Objective and challenge
The aim is to create an interactive guidance system along the existing charging infrastructure in the Hanover-Braunschweig-Göttingen-Wolfsburg Metropolitan Region.
Interested tourism and leisure facilities that are building up or already have built up a charging infrastructure are to be included on the planned "Metropol_E" online platform and in a multiple-page information brochure in the form of an e-mobility leisure guide, thus highlighting them as a featured destination. In addition, within the project, information is provided concerning funding opportunities, financing and technical implementation with respect to a demand-based build-up of charging infrastructure.
The project is funded by the Leine-Weser State Office for Regional Development.
The role played by Wolfsburg AG
Wolfsburg AG is the project leader and project coordinator of Metropol_E.
